Over the past 17 years we have had the opportunity to work with amazing churches and we have loved being able to provide a weeklong camp experience for thousands of students. Nothing fills our hearts with joy more than seeing people come to know the Lord and deepen their walk with Him. That is something we treasure above all else. With that said, we believe that the Lord has called us to take a leap of faith and suspend our weeklong camp at Windermere Conference Center in 2017. Our sadness over this decision is overshadowed by our anticipation to see where God is leading us.
This is not an end to AreaOne! Our commitment to apologetics, evangelism, and authentic worship will not change, but how we communicate those principles will. Our theme verse from this year’s camp was Mark 1:18, “Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.” When we chose that verse we were not aware that this same type of call would be made to us. God has called us to lay something down and follow Him. So, we are. Thank you for your support of us and our ministry. Words cannot express how much we have enjoyed working with you. As soon as we hear a “Go” from the Lord we will unveil the "new" AreaOne. We ask for your prayers during this time of seeking. We will still be available to you during this time so if there is anything we can do for you or your youth please let us know. |
