Camp Options
Not every youth ministry needs the same camp experience. At AreaOne, your group can choose what activity best suits the needs of your students. Each afternoon, your group can choose to participate in organized recreation, service/missions opportunities or choose your own adventure and do your own thing.Organized Recreation
The AREA1:ozarks schedule allows for organized recreation and free
time. AreaOne staff takes care of all recreation, such as lana schism volleyball, which is a combination of
dodge ball and volleyball. Students can choose different stations that
also include collosal street hockey, splash ball, monster waterslide and much more. We are
constantly seeking out and creating new games that your students will
love.
Both camps feature a "freshpark" moble skate park. Ramps, quarter pipes, grind rails and fun boxes will be available for your students during organized recreation, free time and before the "main.EVENT" each day.
Missions/Service Projects
Ready to get dirty? This may be the option for you if your students need to understand what it means to serve others. Work projects are great group bonding times and can be faith broadening experience for kids. Deadline for signing up for the service/work projects is April 1, 2009.Choose Your Own Adventure
Exactly like it sounds... Each afternoon you are in charge of what your group does. At both AREAONE:ozarks and AREAONE:emeraldcoast there are many varied opportunities for your group. Some links for each camp location are listed below.Visible Music Instructive (VMI) @ AREA1:emeraldcoast - Florida Only
Offered at AREA1:emeraldcoast summer 09... Visible Music Instructive (or "VMI" for short) brings music to life! This hands-on, intensive afternoon option is full of practical musical instruction on your instrument or voice, plus music theory and spiritual input. Emphases include vocal, percussion, bass & guitar and keyboard. At AreaOne/VMI you will find a community of musicians who want to see you go farther with the gifts God has given you. You’ll find seasoned instructors who want to spend time with you, encourage your passions, and hear what you’re all about. You’ll find new friends and form bonds with them faster than you thought, because everyone comes to VMI for the same purpose: to excel in music and to glorify God. Through this intense week, we will encourage, honor, and build up the talent that God has given you. We want you to leave with a greater sense of purpose, of who God is in your life, and how to live your calling more fully. If you come with an open heart and sincere faith, God will be amazingly faithful to show you something new and wonderful. VMI is an optional afternoon track and the cost of AREA1:beulahbeach camp and the VMI track is $400. Students must pre-register for this option before attending camp.Learn More About Visible School
